Requirements to Book a Car
To book a car, you must:
Be at least 21 years old (25 for certain luxury models)
Hold a current, non-temporary driver’s license
Have a text-enabled mobile phone
Meet the auto insurance score benchmark
Additional Requirements:
If you have a non-US license and want to book a trip in the US, you must also have a valid passport.
If you’re under 25, you may be subject to a small young driver charge.
What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
We accept most domestic and international credit cards issued by major financial institutions, including:
American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover
Debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo linked to a checking account
Apple Pay and Google Pay (on mobile devices in the US)
We do NOT accept:
Cash, checks, or prepaid cards
Reloadable debit cards (e.g., Simple, Chase Liquid, EDD debit cards)
Temporary bank cards or cards not linked to a bank account
If booking in a country other than your home country, notify your bank or credit card company about the charge to avoid declined transactions.
Are My Passengers Allowed to Drive? How Do I Add a Driver?
Only approved drivers may operate the rental vehicle. To add an additional driver:
Book your trip.
Select additional driver(s) on checkout.
Important Notes:
The primary driver must be present at pickup and drop-off.
The primary driver is financially responsible for the trip.
Only approved additional drivers may operate the vehicle.
Pickup and Drop-Off
Don’t forget: Bring your permanent driver’s license—you cannot pick up the car without it!
In some cases, we may not be available to meet you in person. This is normal, and remote key exchanges are available for your convenience.
Before You Drive:
Thoroughly inspect the car and take pictures before starting your trip.
You are responsible for returning the car in the same condition as when rented.
